IAEA Reginal Workshop on “Advances and Issues in Integrated RIDM”, 28 May – 1 June 2012

A Regional Workshop on "Advances and Issues in Integrated RIDM" in the frame of IAEA project RER9/126 "Advancing Safety Assessment Capabilities, Harmonizing Safety Assessments and Creating Synergy between Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Analyses" was held in the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency from 28th May to 1st June 2012 .

Three experts from the IAEA, as well as the experts from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, USA, Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine, among them representatives of regulatory authorities, technical support organizations, operators and designers took part in the meeting.

During the workshop were given national presentations on the topic. More than 20 presentations containing experiences, practical issues and advances of implementing of the risk-informed decision making were disccussed at the meeting.

Participants had also the task to improve the structure and content of the draft TECDOC draft document "Integrated Risk-Informed Decision Making Guidelines" which is scheduled to be published in late 2012.
